There's something so special about photographing a mama with her little one. The snuggles, the giggles, the way a baby reaches for their mom's face without even thinking about it. This mommy and me mini session day was full of those moments, and I'm still smiling about it.

How It Came Together

This day was co-hosted with The Mom Walk Collective Thousand Oaks, a community of local moms who get together to walk, connect, and support each other through every stage of motherhood.


Sydney Guizzetti, the organizer, reached out after I photographed her family during an in-home session. She loved the experience so much that she wanted to bring it to the moms in her community. Honestly, I was ecstatic. Getting to work with a group of moms who already share that kind of bond felt like such a gift, and we got to planning right away.

The Day

We spent the day at Triunfo Park, with each mama and little one getting their own mini session. Some babies were all smiles, some needed a few extra snuggles to warm up, and every bit of it was perfect. My favorite moments were the in-between ones: a kiss on the forehead, tiny hands holding on tight, a mom laughing at something only she and her baby understood.


The energy all day was so warm and easy. You could tell these moms genuinely love being around each other, and that made it feel less like a photo shoot and more like a sweet morning with friends.
